Christmas at Harrison

Last year we went to Harrison for the light festival. It was pretty, but if you're coming from far away make sure it's not the only thing you're heading out there for. This year they added an outdoor rink so we decided it was worth another visit.

It had been a while since the kids had skated, and the "ice" was actually a form of plexi glass or some sort of plastic...so it was a little tricky.

Also, how pretty is this?

Aren't they cute?

I forced the kids to stay on the ice until it got dark enough for the lights to come on. I mean, they had fun but I wanted the pictures!

Also, check out this Sun Dog shirt. Dennis Bouwman - look him up on spotify.

This is truly beautiful. I might have to rig up something like this in the driveway next year.

We stopped in at the chocolate store. OH YUM

Still more of the Christmassing...

After the children went home, we went to Fort Langley very quickly. I wanted to look in Bella and Wren and we wanted hot drinks.

Fort Langley had a Christmas Market, so we wanted to check it out. But we decided it was a lot of money for not a lot of anything. So we wandered the village instead.

If I'd seen this food truck sooner I might have had a different opinion.

Fort Langley is lovely at night.

I loved this Christmas display. So cute.

And I've asked Andrew to cut some angels for me for our Christmas display next year.

From there, we went to Coquitlam and walked Lafarge Lake. Isn't it lovely?

More Christmassing

Here's a few more pictures from our Christmas extravaganza? All of us got in on the baking. They're very good helpers.

Adelaide was so excited to make the pine cone bird feeders.

Elisabeth enjoyed the messy bits. '

We decided to experiment with the rice krispie snacks and make them on sticks....

and melt candy wotsits to decorate them...

It was quite the difficult task. Look at the concentration on her face!

Then we moved on to decorating gingerbread houses. Which apparently also required a lot of concentration.

Rubey was so proud of his house.

We hung the bird feeders on the tree.

And then we decorated sugar cookies.

Ruben's are the top cookies- Adas are the bottom ones.
