It's 6 am and Davey says, "IT'S TIME TO DRIVE MY CAR mamma!" 

Davey takes mum's advice and keeps both hands on the wheel...which means he has to start the ignition with his foot...

I think that my boys sneak out of bed once Mummum is asleep and play video games together. What else would explain the look of exhaustion both of them are wearing today?!  

Saw this on a blog tonight. Fit right in with the day I had today. Andrew and I were at a mall in Delta and (of course) everything everywhere is StarWars right now. And of course, my oldest boy is completely distracted by all things StarWars, and especially Vader. I actually lost him in Zellers when he got distracted by a StarWars display. Good thing the other kid is still portable, cause I don't know if I could keep track of both of them yet. Honey, this posting's for you :) 

When I (andie) was little, my favorite game was "running away from home". Looks like Davey's favorite game is "trapped behind bars". A la the Count of Monte Cristo though, right?

It looks like he knows what he's doing with this toy, but so far he just tries to chomp on all the pieces.

I had Davey's pictures taken at WalMart today. They did a much better job than last time, though maybe that's because I just bought the digital files and not the actual pictures...I like this one.

Something new every day

So, Hello has been playing weird. All day I couldn't get it to load my photos properly. I'm not even sure how I got this picture to publish, but it looks like it worked. I'm not complaining.

If you look really close at this picture (you might have to lighten up the colour) you can just make out Davey's two teeth. He stopped drooling for a few days and the fountain has resumed so I'm guessing that might explain why he's been waking up at night to come and sleep with mummy. I was hoping it was something like that and not just that he's unlearning all the good habits we got him into.

Andrew read somewhere that at about this age, babies start to try to repeat sounds they hear other people speak. So he's been saying "dada" to davey like crazy. S'funny that, cause ALL DAY long while Andrew is at work, Davey babbles like crazy. And dadadadada features in quite a lot of his discourse. If I leave him to cry for too long, the cry turns to a wailed "maawuhm" (which I flatter myself is Davish for Mummum). And tonight while we were leaving my mum's, we were telling Davey to give Grandma a kiss and he started repeating "kish, kish". Daddy wasn't there to hear it, so I started talking to him about kisses outside and sure enough Davey starts with the "kish kish" again. Time to start watching VERY carefully what we say infront of this bubby!!

And one more milestone...Davey has learned to wave! Last week, his waves consisted of indiscriminate arm flapping. I wasn't even positive it was a wave - after all it might just be a coincidence that he flaps his arms at people. But this week it's turned into an arm raise and then a fist clench/unclench wave. SO cute! And so brilliant!

So, I decided to start another blog. The link is under links over there in the sidebar. It's called, "andie's crazy vegan recipes". For those of you who are curious what we eat. When we're being good and sticking to our vegan lifestyle. As opposed to when we're being totally lazy and eating whatever. Which we're trying to cut back on. Cause that usually means junkfood. not good. yah.
