We had some cute little visitors sleep over with us. Which lead to this cheeky breakfast picture.

Camping the Three

The camping trip came to an end, with a lot of reading and a lot more lounging in the pool.

Mostly by Kandace, Elisabeth and I since the boys always seemed to prefer staying at our hot site.

The food on our trip was great. We stuck to a weight watchers friendly meal plan and only splurged a couple of times.

 I promise, it was just the twice!

And then it was back to reality, and back to smoke. I don't think I went outside until September. Or at least, that's what it felt like.

Another great end to a great summer. Here's to having five weeks off next year!

Camping the Two

Othello Tunnels. One of my favorite places cause it's so dang beautiful. Probably not the smartest to go right after our marathon day Thursday, but the weather was perfect for it.

This canyon is amazing. I just can't imagine what it was like for the first explorers trying to make their way across this country. Can you? And then building railroads? I was not cut out for that.

Andrew brought me here when were freshly engaged, I'd never been before. I thought the tunnels were terrifying, though I did love the canyon and the beautiful scenery. It was many years before we came back.

 One of the kids favourite activities is hiding in the darkest spots and trying to scare me.

After all that wandering, we went to Hope for lunch. STILL haven't spent any amount of time exploring. One day.
