Some wicked Ontario swings. I want one of these for my house!!!

Now, this is the life. 

Omigosh did they ever have some scary slides at this park! One, which even Davey didn't like so much, was so fast that there were marks in the concrete where kids skidded across after flying off the end. PHEW! 

 

One of the views from the Rotary Park near Andrew's folks house. It's so beautiful here...but I still don't like the city of Kingston. Some nice buildings, but not friendly like this is.  

After about a thousand trips down the slide, Davey decided to try out the tunnel. Daddy did too. 

 

One of Davey's favorite car toys is this doll we found. He loves giving the baby her bottle and helping her suck her thumb...and making her stand on her head while he bites her toes. I think he's going to make a great big brother, don't you? further down, Davey plays on a tractor we found in the garage. Andrew had one quite like it when he was little and back home I have pictures of him helping with lawn work on his tractor. 

 

 

Ayden is Andrew's brother Paul's (and wife Terri's) son, Emma and Melanie are Nancy (and Rob)'s two daughters.

May 6th: One of the big reasons for this trip was to help celebrate the In Law's 40th wedding anniversary. So after a week of cooking and planning, we had a BIG party. Here Davey and Melanie sit very nicely and wait for mumma to finish greeting the guests and daddy to stop taking all the guests' pictures.  

When mummy and daddy finished working, we snuck off to one of the rooms to feed our kid. As you can tell, he was enjoying the party! 

The following two pics from May 7. I had the camera out because Davey was painting his hair blue with blueberries. But he just looked so relaxed in this shot, I chose it over the blue haired ones. 

Melanie was most animated for me at meal time. We had lots of fun making faces at each other! 

May 8th, back at the Rotary Park. Davey has loved having his Ontario cousins to play with, as you can see in this picture.

May Ninth: Day Trip to Prince Edward County

For us, one of the highlights of our trip is a daytrip to Prince Edward County. You have to take this little car ferry across and then there are all kinds of quaint little villages with shops and cafes. There's also Lake on the Mountain, which is exactly what it sounds like, and of course, the famous Ontario Sandbanks - apparently the largest dunes or something in the world.

Being from BC we never even thought they might close for the season. But when we got to the sandbanks, there was only one other car in the whole park, and the SNOW FENCES were still up on the beach! But, on the positive side, we had the entire beach to ourselves. Well, at least until the park people decided to drive all their trucks up and start taking the fences down RIGHT NEXT TO US. Sheesh. Miles of beach and they have to come work next to us. We still had fun.
