For my birthday we were supposed to head to Lonsdale Quay. It would have been a perfect day too, but as it turns out, we ended up looking at cars all day. We got a little sidetracked. I insisted on a rain cheque (bad use of words as it turns out, since the weather wasn't quite as perfect on Saturday). We had a blast!
I was very excited to use our backpack carrier for the first time. As you can see, David took it all in stride. "s'no big deal" says big boy davey.
MNNNNNNN...NOT!
Andrew and I had lunch on the quay. David was REALLY REALLY mad that we didn't buy him food (he HAD just eaten before we got there). This is a picture of him still sulking.
At a neighboring table...
The skyline. Even on a dismal day, Vancouver is beautiful.
The boats.
There's a really cool kid's store at the quay (actually, that reminds me...there's an awesome kid's hair dressers there too. Instead of chairs, they have those little car thingies that kids always want to ride when they're at the mall. They sit in the car thingie and have a "ride" - no motion of course! - while they get their hair cut. What fun!!) There were so many cute kids outfits in this store, but we finally decided on some fireman boots for Davey. Maybe we'll go back and get him the fireman coat sometime too.
Davey got fireman boots.
He really likes 'em, can you tell? (they're a size six, so supposedly they won't actually fit till he can walk. We'll see...)
