Hey wait, we DID go camping this year!

Though we didn't get to do our usual trip, for various reasons, we did make time for a quick weekend at Bridal Falls with our usual camping cohort. This year, there was a new pool to check out.

This one seems more geared towards the smaller crowd since there's a really shallow end (like 18 inches) with fountains and a ledge to sit on.

We quite liked it!

 Oh yeah, and I think the temperature of the water was a bit warmer too.

 Okay, probably too many pictures of his face, but he's so cute!

 What you mean we have to leave the pool?

Luckily, there's no better place to get my reading in than beside the pool. And, now that they're big, I don't really have to do much entertaining or supervising. So I really can just read.

 Then it was back to the site to do more reading.

 It's no wonder we love camping so much. Aside from when I'm sick, it's pretty much the only time we slow down.

 Heh. Mine and Elisabeth's air mattress had a hole in it.

She made up for the lack of comfort with a chocolate breakfast in bed.

 Another day, some more pool time...

 My cousin Michelle came to visit, bringing her partner Shawn and their new puppy (OMG we were in LOVE!)

 We hoped that if Andrew held her, he'd fall in love too. You can tell from his face that didn't happen.

Although I think he did warm up to her a little bit.
