So apart from eating outside and going to the paralympics, just what have we been up to around here? Well, we've done quite a bit of playing outside.
The kids new favorite game is "going to the olympics" and it involves bringing out all of their chairs, their flags, usually some bikes and their backpacks. They line up the chairs and attach flags and sit out by the road.
When they're not playing Olympics, they are sidewalk chalking, blowing bubbles, playing street hockey, or climbing the trees. For some reason despite our lovely backyard, they LOVE playing in the driveways.
Anyone remember Fat Albert? I never really watched the show, but when Dave brought it up in reference to this picture, I knew exactly what he was talking about!!
This is our neighbor's magnolia tree. I LOVE it.
Last week we decided to take Grosspapa down to Sendall Gardens to look for signs of spring. Here's another of our neighbors' magnolia trees:
Tinky and GP walking down 200th.
And one of our favorite spots in the gardens. We love the waterfall!
And the little trees.
We always have to stop and talk to Mr. Sendall.
And this time we stopped and fed the geese.
Look at the eyes on this fella.
There were lots of signs of spring!
You know what I love about spring blossoms? NONE of them are the same. But they're all so beautiful!
On our way back we found a jadeybug in a tree!
And Uncle Dave was out with Spiderman.
And then we went for another walk and found even more spring blossoms:
AND even more children in trees!
And then, to even out all the walking we did that day, we stopped at Timmys and got donuts. YUM!
