Rocky Point Park

I had to go into Port Moody to switch our merchandise at the store that carries my crafts. These two were happy to come with me and the weather was gorgeous, so after we were done at the store we stopped at Rocky Point Park.

We headed straight to the ice cream store for our fix, and then out to the pier to eat it.

And of course, since I have my camera back, I took the opportunity to snap some pictures of my own kids for once.

Too bad I didn't make sure their hair was brushed before we left.

Chilliwack Fire

After celebrating Mayah's birthday at the end of summer, we realized it had been way too long since our last visit with our favorite Chilliwackians. And so we booked a bon fire.

In between our last visit, Charlie had gotten a new friend.

We may all have been a bit smitten.

While us grown ups sat around stuffing our faces and visiting, Seth got the kids to work in his mine/archeological dig.

With so many willing labourers, he was able to set one person to digging - so plowing through the dirt looking for interesting rocks or other artifacts.

Another person was set to breaking apart rocks with a sledgehammer.

And then two people sifted dirt.

As site foreman, Seth was always called in if there was something interesting.

These kids were so engrossed in their work, they pretty much forgot to eat.

They found a large piece of asphalt that needed to be dug out with bigger tools.

And of course, that meant they needed to ham it up a bit.

These two have been buds since they were months old. I love the camaraderie between them.

And off they went to keep on with their project.

Nerf war in the forest

Our kids have been very eager to have a real battle with their nerf guns. So we took them to Redwood Park to do just that.

They redid some of the treehouse. It's always so pretty.

Aside from a nerf bullet to the eye, it was pretty successful battle. And also the first time Andrew wore his knee brace for some physical activity. And it held up pretty well. So yay that Andrew isn't broken completely.

Kay so anyway, here's the biggest gun.

My kids need better stuff to battle with. And then we've gotta go back.
