Please leave a message...

Some moms will go to any lengths to occupy their children while they try to get things done around the house. Even unplugging the phone and letting their child use it as a chew toy...FOR SHAME!

A day at the beach

This afternoon Andrew, Davey and I went for a walk at Crescent Beach. There are some amazing trails around the wetlands there. Here are some pictures from the walk we did today.

Hmnnnnnn

So, Davey has found his tongue. We thought it was really, really cute. I mean, just look at this picture. Cute, no?

Yeah, until we were sitting in a restaurant today enjoying lunch. A couple of sweet, old ladies stopped to admire our gorgeous baby. And he GLEEFULLY stuck his tongue out as far as he could and proceeded to blow raspberries. I apologized profusely, but as they hastily retreated he was still wagging that tongue at them.

To make matters worse, as I sat by the exit while Andrew paid the bill, they came out of the washroom and in slightly hushed (and oh so disapproving) tones commented, "There's that baby, the one that STUCK HIS TONGUE OUT AT US!"

Oy vey, what happened to my little charmer??!

Hollow Legs

Davey has a new favorite food. Chick pea curry. Yeah. He ate about, oh I dunno, a quarter of my dinner tonight. At first I just gave him the peas from mine. Even sucked the curry off 'em first cause I thought he wouldn't like the strong taste. Yeah right. I ran out of peas. So I gave him some sweet potato. Then he about finished my dinner.

This is after he nursed, ate some sweet potato of his own, nursed again, AND had two baby mum mums...Yeah. he's got hollow legs this kid.

Not that I blame him. The curry was DURN good. If I say so myself. Recipe is on my crazy recipe site. It's REALLY REALLY REALLY good. Just ask Davey.

Okay - I am having WAY too much fun in my webdesign class. Tonight we learned how to do JavaScript (oooo doesn't that make me sound smart)...and that's why the webpage shakes when you load it. WHEEEEEEEEEEEEE this is FUN!

I've been feeling a little blue these last couple days. This morning dawned gray and wet, so (being a true westcoaster) I thought to myself, "it's a good day for a walk by the ocean."

I'm so glad we (Davey and I) braved the rain. I'm so glad we did. BC is so beautiful. We are so incredibly blessed to live here.(pictures above this comment were taken at the Historic Stewart Farmhouse, pictures below at Crescent Beach on one of the nature walks there.)
