More Milestones

Davey got weighed today for the first time in three weeks. He's now 14 lbs .5 oz...almost doubled his birthweight, just 1lb 15 oz to go!! He's also grown four inches since he was born...he's 24.5 inches long. way to go davey!

After enduring a couple weeks of him eyeing up our meals, trying to grab dad's baked beans, and desperately trying to sip our drinks, we started Davey on bananas this weekend. He seems to like them lots. No funny faces, or spitting out the food, he just gobbles it down. Guess he has to get fuel for all that poundage he's adding!!

I know I shouldn't be telling you this one, but Davey still sleeps with us...and he's gotten to the stage now where he can push mum out of bed. Well, not quite, but he's really good at taking up my half of the bed and has me right on the edge. I know it's not cause he's pushing me out, he just likes to snuggle...right??

This is my favorite of Jadey's birthday pictures. Can't believe she's almost one already... Posted by Hello

It's been a while

Okay, so Andrew decided to put a new hard drive in his computer and somehow something or other didn't work the way it was supposed to, and *I* ended up without a computer for FIVE days. ARRRRRRGH the AGONY!!! So that's why the glut of pictures (below) all at once.

Since it's been so long, I thought I'd better add some updates on Davey.

As you can see in the pictures below, Davey has a new toy. The Jumperoo. But he also has a new "stay at Gramma's" toy: one of those little playdibug thingies (they replaced the walkers of my day). Davey's been using his new toys for about ten days now, maybe a little less. At first he would sit in the seat with his arms at his side, face slobbering away on the top part of the seat, staring in fear and awe at the big, loud toy. Gradually he started touching things and sitting a little straighter.

We now have him on the HIGHEST setting of the walker/player toy and HIS FEET TOUCH THE BOTTOM. The kid is not even four months old!! What on earth am i going to do with him when he's MOBILE and I need to corral him in something interesting?? Toy makers take note: you need to start making these things for the freakishly tall children such as my own. Thank you.
