David has been painting models - our friend Julius got David interested in them. So David has been collecting and painting the models and on this particular day he was finally going to get to participate in a battle! So exciting. He stayed up late and was up early putting some finishing touches on a few of his models.

I've gotta say, he can get very into a hobby. So he's been studying painting techniques and methods and is planning on stripping some of his early models so that he can redo them now that his skills have improved.

In the meantime, we tried to go for a walk. We thought maybe Metrotown but it was mental in there. So many people and so loud.

We ended up here. SO beautiful

This beautiful park is behind the Burnaby Village Museum, all those years we've been going there and I never knew.

Trip to Point Roberts

Sometimes we have parcels delivered to Point Roberts. It's a good excuse to spend the day at the beach there. This time we drove down to the marina and walked around looking at the boats. And recreating pictures from when the kids were small.

After the marina, we drove down to the campgrounds and while the kids were running around building stuff, Andrew and I went for a walk.

I know I've blogged this before, but this is a great spot to watch the whales from. I've never seen them, but they pass right past here.

You can sign up for an alert and they'll text you when they're here.

Later we stopped at Tsawassen Mills for lunch. The art work there is gorgeous.

Almost the end

Alas, all too soon, it was the end of our Christmassing. We decorated some cookies.

I wasn't there for that part. Then, in the evening, we went to the Land of Christmas.
