Moving Weekend

As it turns out, I did get to visit the yellow house one more time.

As if I'd ever turn down the chance to visit there. Hmn, I wonder if the new tenants would let me stay with them...
Anyway, Ruben assisted me in packing boxes.

He was especially helpful in finding books to pack.

He also helped me in washing dishes.

 And polishing the floor.

 Adelaide helped too!

I want a house just like this one day. Except with central heating and a more modern bathroom. Maybe a little more room in the upstairs bedrooms. But you know, just like this.

Isn't this the most welcoming view down the driveway?

On the second day we ran out of boxes. So first we went to the U-haul place. It was just a little bit scary. Also, no boxes.

This was the second place. We cleaned them out of boxes.

And the third place was positively luxurious. They had loads of boxes and this was just across the road.

This is across the inlet from A Place By the Sea (Chadya, you'll remember that place). I could absolutely live here.

I don't think I'd ever leave the beach. Do you?

We may have lingered just a moment more than necessary.

Then we stopped to charge the car and pick up dinner.

Where we saw David's two favorite cars.

Then it was back home and I snapped a picture of Alexis with her babies.

I took a few pictures to remember the place by. Lovely entry way and a view into the guest bedroom.

 View out the bedroom window.

 Kitchen and living room.

This is the room where I liked to sit on the window seat and read with my morning coffee. Actually I took this picture from the window seat, with a view into the office.

View down the side of the house.

I really did love this place.

The morning of the move - we went for a quick breakfast while we waited for access to the new place.

This time I could eat. Yay.

And then we loaded everything up.

A picture of the new place:

And one last picture of the old place:

And just like that it was all over and time to go home.

And my favorite view of the old house.
