Davey's too hungry to wait for food; so he's eating the high chair. Posted by Hello

I'm so lucky to have this princess to pose for me while I practice using my camera. What a beautiful subject she makes. Posted by Hello

One of our neighbors. There was another squirrel down in the ravine, but he wasn't so obliging about posing for a picture. Posted by Hello

The wagon. As my brother, Rob said, "It's a family car. But it's a pimpin' family car." heh. that made me laugh. But it's better than I'd hoped for. I SO did not want a van!!! Posted by Hello

This is a picture of Davey taken FOUR months ago, when he was just over one month old. Doesn't time fly? (oh yeah, and I guess I lied about no pictures today. Couldn't resist) Posted by Hello

No pictures today

Last night when I downloaded pictures of Davey, I forgot to turn the camera off. So today when I went to take pictures of him our batteries were dead. DUMB me. However, I did take almost two rolls of Ashlie and Jade in their pretty pink tutus, so expect to see those pictures as soon as I get them developed.

What I really want to blog about tonight though, is how incredibly amazing it is watching this kid grow up. Every day Davey amazes Andrew and I with the new discoveries he's making. If you sit and watch him for even 10 minutes, I swear you'll get to see learning in action. It's so amazing.

Take yesterday for example. Any regular visitors to this blog will remember the little red birdy Davey likes to play with. Well, yesterday Davey was standing on my lap (supported by me of course....he's not standing alone YET) chomping on the birdy. Quite by accident he moved the birdy over to my mouth. So me being me, I pretended to chomp on it (accompanied by the appropriate monster sounds). Again, quite by accident (probably freaked out by my monster sounds) Davey pulled Birdy away. But then he moved him back to my mouth. And this time when I went in to chomp the birdy, he LAUGHED and pulled it away again. And repeated it several times. My kid is learning to tease mamma.

Today he was again standing on my lap and I started making kissy faces at him. So he leaned in and gave mamma a kiss. TWICE. I think that means he likes me :)

And you should have seen him at the car dealerships over the weekend (we went StationWagon hunting). He loves cars. But he loves the attention everyone there gave him more. He totally knows how to work it. Can't imagine where he got that from...

Check out this bicep. This boy has muscles :) Posted by Hello

Davey has chicken "pops". Not that you'd be able to tell if it weren't for the red polka dots. He's not fussy at all, and doesn't seem itchy...today at 2 he had about 32 spots...there were more this evening. But Ashlie prayed for him and so he's healed.  Posted by Hello

Davey recently found his feet. But now that he REALLY knows how to get them, he NEVER lets go! We put him in the high chair, he grabs his feet. Floor time? He grabs his feet. Bath time? He plays with his feet. Changing his diaper? He obligingly holds his feets out of his diaper for us. If only he'd stay this happy playing with his feet, we'd never have to buy him toys... Posted by Hello

I saw this stroller when we were out for a walk a couple of months ago. I've been kicking myself ever since for not rushing over and asking the mom where she got it from. I think it's so cool! (notice the high seat for a toddler, and the low cushy seat for the baby.) At just over $700 before taxes and shipping, it's just a tad out of our price range. But I'm going to start saving my pennies now...and the second we know # 2 is on the way....this is our happy we're pregnant present!!! Posted by Hello
