Lizzie's Preschool Easter Party

It's hard to believe this is my last year with a preschooler. But it's true. Lizzie is down to her last few weeks in preschool and come September I will be dropping her off for all day kindergarten! I'm not sure my poor mama's heart can stand it :(

But she's already leaps and bounds ahead of where David was at this stage. She recognizes every letter of the alphabet and her numbers. She can sight read a few words and she can count to a hundred. This girl is so excited for school she wants to skip Kindergarten and head straight to Grade One.

Slow down little one, I'm not ready for you to grow up so fast!!

Her preschool Easter Party was super cute. The kids made little hats with hears and bunny noses/teeth. Only lizzie was hungry so she ate her bunny teeth right off. Only added to the cuteness though, right?

And here's a picture of Braylon, just for fun :)

On April 17 we went to the zoo

We decided to buy season's passes to the zoo this year. And, because we found ourselves with a pleasant day and no plans, we headed out to Aldergrove to wander 'round the premises. David armed himself with eye protection and a map:

And proceeded to direct us around the park.

We got lost a few times along the way, but luckily we were in good hands. All the littles had maps.

and here we go!

Well, this is me trying to play catch up.

Way back on April 16 we had a bonfire. At the Abelmans. I remember that it was cold. And that we brought wood, but we didn't have a ton of firewood so Darren got out his chainsaw and pruned the cherry trees. But more about that later.

First let's look at this cute picture of Mayah threatening to shoot me with her water gun!

The kids love playing in Brad's boat. Lizzie brought her crown with her on this day and was playing at being Queen of the World.

And Andrew and I took a picture to prove we still like each other. After 10.5 years together, that's quite the feat!

Natasha and I have been together longer, and we still like each other too. We met in the fall of '88. That's a long friendship for a gypsy, let me tell you!

There was some hockey played.

Scenes like this make me want to pave our whole driveway so we can play hockey all the time!

Not everyone wanted to play hockey. Lizzie decided to bounce instead.

I told you it was cold this day.

And the kids ended up playing in the trunk. A rocking good time. Specially when we cranked the tunes and shut the trunk :)

You may have noticed this blog has been dormant for a while. Truth be told, my heart hasn't been in blogging for a while. However, posting all my pictures to Facebook is not very fulfilling. So I'm thinking about taking it up again. BUT because of my personality type, I will have to catch up on everything I missed before I start with anything new. Holy overwhelming batman!

Still...projectdavid may be reappearing in your readers sometime soon...
