Davey & Jadey score a new ride

Kat and I decided that it might be fun for Jadey and Davey if they could ride together when we go for walks. Plus, now that the two imps are getting older, we might trade off on looking after them. Having a two-seater-mobile could make that all easier.

Will all that in mind, we all headed off to WalMart. Or...that was the plan. But I stopped at Andrew's work to drop off his lunch. David jumped into his daddy's arms, turned around, shoved me and waved "BUH bye". Hunh. Okay then. So I got to be childless for the shopping trip. Hah hah on them. I took advantage of the moment and headed to the scrapbook store too :)

Anyway, here's the babies' sweet ride. It's easier to push than my other stroller is, and the kids don't whine cause they think it's hilarious that they get to ride together. And since these two are generally sweet-natured, they don't fight while they're in it. So everyone wins. Now, we're off for a walk.

Today Davey decided he wanted to use his swing. The swing he enjoyed, but not for any length of time. You know, when normal kids would nap in their swings, or sit in them while mamma got stuff done. Not this kid. He'd sit in it for two seconds, then, "that's enough mamma, let's do something else".  Posted by Picasa

Hmnnn...he doesn't fit in this swing quite the same way he used to...not like here, where he had just gotten the swing anyway... Posted by Picasa

Done with swinging, Davey decides he's going to do some vacuming for mamma. Thanks Davey!! Posted by Picasa

Here's a picture of Julius and Elsa on their wedding day. Gorgeous, hunh? Congratulations to you both. I look forward to being present at your Hong Kong wedding (figures I'd miss the Vancouver one...). Posted by Picasa

Feeling a bit nostalgic today...

I was going through my picture files on my computer, getting ready to stop using this one again, and started to feel nostalgic. Our baby seems to have gotten SO big all of a sudden! So I thought I'd post this picture again - from one of Davey's first days home. So much can change in the span of a year. Wow.

Went for a walk on Crescent Beach today. The weather people threatened us with rain, but it turned out to be a perfect day. Warm sun, cool breeze, just a few clouds in the sky...mnnnnn...so nice. And who knows how many days like this we have left this year... Posted by Picasa

He's getting SOO big. Here's our wee laddie. Seconds before this picture was taken, he was unloading Andrew's heavy computer books off the second shelf. I think he thinks we need to rearrange the books...or dust them. Or something. Posted by Picasa
