A Day at the Beach

THIS is the life....





Davey kicks back on the beach.


Dad and Davey on the beach. It was sooo pretty there. I love the beach! And Davey seems to love it too.

A busy day

We went to Costco today, and look what we picked up!!



Shopping at Costco is hard on ANYONE...but this little guy had to amuse the whole store today. Imagine how tiring THAT was!! He's still got a good grip on those toys

Bathtime....Davey's first time grabbing his toes without help or nudging from one of us.

It's amazing how fast he learns. Not that long ago (I'm sure only days ago) we were trying to teach Davey to suck on his facecloths (a. to distract him in the bath, b. when his gums hurt, nothing feels as good as a cold facecloth). Now look at him, one in each fist, trying to cram 'em both in at once.  

Caught Davey in this pose after he woke up from a nap. Doesn't he look like he thinks he's riding a tram? Holding on to the handle so he doesn't lose his balance. What a smart fella

Version Two:

Several people have commented that they think Davey is beginning to look like me. My mum agreed and rooted out some pictures of me that she thinks prove the point. Below is a picture of me at four months:

I love springtime in BC

Warm enough for bare feet. Ahhhh I love the spring....


Even Jasper came out to play. It's rare this cat ventures outdoors.





We caught sight of this rare tropical bird making use of our birdhouses. Must be the warm spring weather driving them north...


And later saw it again....this time in our jasmine vine.


Another rarity, a picture of Davey and mum. The photographer never gets photographed (except today).

Another picture of Davey in the bath. Note how he is getting very proficient at multitasking. Firm grip on the turtle with one hand, and facecloth held to the mouth with the other. I'm telling you, this kid is a genius. 

 

 

 

Davey hanging out with dad. Not sure if he's holding on like that cause he doesn't trust dad not to drop him, or (judging from his expression) if he's just being a big boy with his daddy...(ps doesn't andy look nice with his new hair? I'm a lucky girl to live with two such handsome boys.)
