This has never happened before

David is nine months younger than Jade. In all these years, David has always been shrimpier compared to her. But it looks like the tables have finally turned.

Also, don't they both have fabulous hair?

My little dancing queen

It was costume fitting day for Elisabeth, which is also picture day.  I love Elisabeth dancing, she takes so much joy in it.

But I really hate being a dance mom. It's so chaotic and stressful...Still, look at her face!

Our dance studio does pictures, but they're basically like school photos. I wish we were allowed to get better pictures done. Still, I'll take what I can get!

Social Studies Project

David learned about vikings in social studies, and their capstone project was to make a viking ship. It had to float. David decided he wanted to carve one, so Andrew helped him with that. He handpainted the sail, and the shields along the side. Then, when they tested it in the water, it tipped. So they added a metal keel to help keep it upright. I have no idea what grade he got on this - David never seems to find out what his marks are other than on his report card - but I think he deserved an A+.

Family Time

We were busy marketing, but my brothers were both in town at the same time. Thanks to the markets, we only saw them for the briefest of moments before they were off again. But I did make sure to snap a picture or 30 of all the grand kids while we had the chance.

Okay, pictures and outtakes done with, it was time to smoosh the baby.

And for those who weren't so interested in the baby, there was time to make weird faces.

Then we celebrated Ruben's birthday!

More photoshoots!

Taking advantage of all the opportunities to take pictures! I grabbed Ada and Ruben and took them for a walk in Campbell Valley Park.

I miss the days of dragging preschoolers through the park. It was just as fun as I'd remembered.

Although a little disconcerting when one child would choose to go in one direction and the other the opposite direction.

We brought birdseed thinking perhaps the birds would eat from our hands this time.

But I think those birds are so well fed, they don't really care to work for the seed.

Still we tried.

And then we found snow (or thick frost? I can't remember if it snowed so early in November)!

Ruben is just like Lizzie. He couldn't resist eating it.

Aren't they sweet? I can't choose between the pictures, especially since they're so far away.
