A terrible trip

Walking down the street last night
I saw myself a ghastly sight
Plastic, drink cups, wrappers there
Strewn across the grass without care

How lazy must these people be
The trash bin stood nearby, empty
But instead, they chose to throw it here and leave

How I despise this ugly act
When people leave their garbage stacked
Can they not take any responsibility?

A poem by David Menary (about littering)
