November was a slow month

Or at least it feels that way when I look back at my pictures. However, I know that we were in a rush of trying to get ready for all our markets.

Found this in my photos. Looks like it's from rocky point park - so probably misfiled. But it cracked me up, so...

Andrew and I won tickets on Twitter for the Lions. We headed downtown and made for Stanley Park.

It was a FREEZING cold day!

Here we are in all our Lions gear.

I get really excited at Lions games. Oy.

They were great seats, look how close we were.

Next day we headed to Ikea to meet up with Dave and Alexis. They needed someone to watch their kids while they shopped.

David wondered if he'd still fit in the egg. HE DOES.

We love all the costumey things!

Right Ruben?

I think we should have brought snacks. Note to self for next time.

Iona Beach

Have you ever been to Iona Beach Park?

Dad needed to be taken to the airport, and we wanted to spend some time with him before he flew away, so we took him to Iona Beach Park.

Unfortunately, I forgot who my father is, and I didn't pack full on arctic gear for him.

Despite that, it was a lovely walk.

So of course there were also pumpkins to carve

So this fine Sunday David and I drove to Port Moody to drop off stock at the store. From there, of course, we went to Rocky Point. I won't mention my homework assignment...

It was a beautiful day for a stroll.

 And an ice cream!!

Eventually we headed home, where it was time to start carving our pumpkins!

We managed to persuade Tommy to carve pumpkins too. His first time!

EWWWWWWW pumpkin guts!

 Or yum pumpkin guts!?

I seem to have the pictures of the carved pumpkins elsewhere...

Pumpkin Patching - by popular demand!

I don't know how many times I'm going to say this over the next few years. But I'm so thankful that my kids still do things like pumpkin patches!

We needed pumpkins, and decided to go back to the same farm we visited last year with Dave and Alexis. They had a hay maze.

The kids are tall enough to see over, but it's still fun!

And here are their chickens. All crowded round in the sun because they know they'll get loads of feed from all the people like us.

This little guy was happy enough to pose for me.

Dapper young thing.

And my kids were also happy enough to pose for me.

Then we rode the hay wagon out to the field. I always forget that the field is just on the other side of the barn, but hey, wagon rides are super fun, right?

Once we got out there, the debate began over the perfect pumpkin. It was $5 each to get in, but the $5 included your hay ride and counted against the cost of your pumpkin (or indeed anything in the store).

David found his pumpkin almost immediately.

Don't mind all these pictures. Photography class assignment this week was story telling.

I'm such a sucker for all the props out in the fields for photo ops.

And then I found the pigs!

I would so love a pet piggie.

Aren't they sweet?!

Then it was time for pictures with our treasure!

Happy Halloweening!
