Larry left us and went home to China

Here's a picture of my three kids on their first day of school 2018/19.

And now it was time to say goodbye to Larry.

Before he left, he had me colour his hair for him. This is something Larry had wanted me to do for a long time, but holy scary batman.  I'm not sure if it was the nostalgia, but Larry finally persuaded me to do it the day before he went home.

We went to Sally's and picked up the materials. A very sweet girl gave me great recommendations on what to buy and also how to do the bleaching.

With some trepidation on both our parts, we began the process. It went much better than I thought it would.

When it came time to put the toner in Larry's hair, there was a little left - so we toned Elisabeth's hair too.

In the meantime, Larry showed us this picture of him from his elementary school days.

On his last day with us, Larry finally packed his stuff - and gave a whole lot of it to us. Also. Look at how much they look like brothers now.

We finally got to go for hot pot. I wish we'd listened to Larry and gone sooner.

Even David enjoyed some of the hotpot.

And then, far too quickly, it was time to say goodbye. We cried.
