Davey and Tink at the beach...

Today, in between the grayness of morning and the thunderstorms of late afternoon, we went to the beach. It was a wonderful day to be there...the sun kept hiding behind clouds, which made for a really warm, but not hot and not too cold day.

Here's Davey unloading his wagon while me and Andrew eat lunch (davey was too excited to eat for a while).


I usually put my pictures in chrono order, but I can't be bothered tonight. So here's a picture of Davey showing me his very, very sandy hands. "Yucky" he said. I agreed. And what have I taught him to do when he has yucky on his hands? Well, 99 per cent of the time the yucky is food. So he knows to just lick the yucky off. And that's exactly what my obedient little fellow did today. EWWWWWW (and he didn't much like having sand in his mouth either!)


Hmnnn...see all that sand in his hair? IMPOSSIBLE to get out. We finally had to turn him upside down in the tub. Andrew scrubbed and dumped water while I held the kid. His hair holds sand like....umn...well you fill in the blanks...


They're so easy to entertain. Give 'em a shovel, a bit of sand, and I get hours of peace and quiet.


Oh yeah, except when this one wants to be pulled up and down the beach. And Andrew taught him that he has to wait until the side is down on the wagon before he can get out. Only now he can get the side off himself, so if you're not watching he'll just take it off and jump out while you're moving. WEEE hoooo!


Davey finally stopped for some grapes and water. Oh, and a quick picture with mamma.



Not quite brave enough to play with the other kids on the beach. But he played near them. Hey Ashlie, do you know who the little boy is??
