Oh my gosh! What a busy weekend!! Saturday I volunteered at TWU grad. This was my third time doing it, the first being when I was pregnant with Davey. That year I marshalled (led the faculty in and out of the ceremony) and stayed for all three ceremonies. That year we stayed and loaded the truck after the ceremonies. How much easier it was this year!! For one thing, since I wasn’t pregnant, I had a LOT more energy!! And we had two AWESOME student workers who took care of all the lifting (and most everything else to be honest!) Still, since I left home at 6:40 am and didn’t get home till 10:30 pm it made for a loooooong day. And even though I got to talk to my babies twice, I missed ‘em like crazy! The only bad thing about it was that it was the most beautiful day in a long time and Andrew was stuck at home with no car and *I* didn’t get to go to the beach ;)

Sunday we headed out to Langley to work on a couple more projects. Dad and Andrew worked on clearing up more landscaping mess (a big pile of Landscaping ties that needed nails pulled from them and stacking somewhere out of the way) to get ready for the construction crews that will be arriving on the property in about six weeks.

Meanwhile I continued tidying up some of the flower beds, planting new spring flowers, and trying to get rid of all the weeds that tend to grow ALL OVER mum’s driveway. I’m really looking forward to the new driveway. This one has crazy deep grooves and cracks which are horrible to drive over, hazardous to running babies and fertile ground for weeds!!

[this is Davey's very first ever drawing of a face. I was just telling my mum last week that Davey doesn't even attempt to draw shapes - he just scribbles. Meanwhile, Elisabeth is very deliberate at trying to draw circles and colour in the lines...I guess Davey has been practicing in secret. This is a pretty awesome 'guy'.]

When we were done in Langley I felt like I needed to do some catch up work at home. So I pressure washed our deck while Andrew fed the kids. Tink wanted to come out and help me. She cleaned her water table (she must have been FREEZING in the water, but she would not come out!)

Then Andrew put together our new patio table and brought out the chairs.

Meanwhile I put pictures in frames and then made Andrew stay up till all hours hanging the pictures for me. Poor Andrew was so tired and sore last night he ended up sleeping in the basement. Cold hearted woman that I am, I yelled at him for tossing and turning cause it was keeping me awake.
