It was still hot later this week, so I thought we might go to the beach on Thursday to cool down. However, Elisabeth had other plans and fell asleep in the midst of her lunch (note the dirty face!) so we had to improvise.

We waited till Andrew got home and packed ourselves off to Derby Reach for a fast food picnic!

Of course as fate would have it, there was very little breeze at Derby Reach so I didn't get the relief from the heat I was hoping for. But the kids had lots of fun running around


and playing hide and seek.

There's always so many pictures of the kids. I thought I should take some of my gorgeous hubby.




Thank heavens the heat has subsided and we had a fairly cool (22 degrees?) cloudy day. Yay!
