Afternoon at the beach with Grosspapa

Last weekend we decided to pack a picnic, the bikes and our beach toys and head to Crescent Beach. Davey's been jumping off everything lately...last weekend it was the driftwood at the beach:

Andrew and Elisabeth helped unload the truck. Andrew rode his bike and Elisabeth rode hers and pulled a wagon full of beach toys.

Isn't my daughter cute? Yeah, I think so too.

My boy is pretty sweet too.

While Dad and Andrew went for a bike ride around the peninsula, me and the kids played on the beach. The tide was on it's way out which made for lots and lots of mud.

But it sure was pretty.

I'm not sure what Davey was doing...maybe a little dance? From the sequence of pictures it almost looks like a robot dance...

Looks about ready to break into tears here, but I assure you in the next picture he was happy.

We built sandcastles. But the sand at Crescent Beach isn't the sand at Harrison...so we made mounds and then decorated them.

And found driftwood that looked like space ships...

Andy and Dad came back and Dad had a little snooze.

Then we went for a walk along the beach. Andrew drew the short straw and had to guard all our stuff. So me, dad, tinker and davey walked along the driftwood...we could almost get the whole length of the beach on the wood.

Then tinky met a puppy that was bigger than her. Just a lil' bit scary!!
And fancy that, we ended up at the ice cream shop. MN MN. Davey has a new favorite: rainbow sherbet!
