Lessons I learned while riding my bike.

Before taking your kids for a little bike around the corner and down the hill, make sure they know what the brakes on their bikes or for.

Or else you might just have to leap off your bike (while it's moving), charge down the hill after a speeding child, and try to catch their bike (without dumping the kid off) before they zoom out into oncoming traffic.

Not that I know from experience or anything.

Whoa. That would be horrible. Thank goodness for adrenaline and I'm glad everybody was ok.

Apparently he does know how to use his brakes but his bike's handbrakes are too hard for his little hands to grip and there's no pedal brake like my bikes always had.

Also, the hill is really steep! I'm surprised I didn't end up rolling head over heels down it myself!!
