Dinotown Again?!?

I think you can tell from the grin on his face that Davey was REALLY excited to be back at Dinotown! In fact, he woke up in the middle of the night the day grandma and grandpa arrived asking to go to dinotown. So despite the forecast rain, Saturday ended up being gorgeous and we had a fabulous time at the park.

Elisabeth loved the dino figures.

Just had to capture this shot of Davey's ringlets. His hair is the curliest the day we wash it - in fact ends up a mass of Kramer-esque waves within a few hours. But this was pretty doggone cute!

Elisabeth hiding in the pirate ship.

I should explain the hat. She finally decided to let the hat stay on...sort of. Every few minutes she would adjust it, take it off, put it back on...and ended up with quite the jaunty little farmer look...

This is Davey pretending to surf.

And us doing our best dino roars.

They have this great water park which looks like a firehouse and a bunch of elephant firefighters. Elisabeth wanted to go play soooooo bad, but Davey (who is still scared of all kinds of water) wouldn't come in. Finally Elisabeth just made a break for it....she didn't even care when the water sprayed her.

Finally Davey decided to come and try out the hoses. He didn't stay for long, but I think he liked it.

Of course, his favorite is the little door.

Grandma and Grandpa joined us a little later:

...Here Davey's trying to impress Grandma with his good hygiene!

Oho! What's that?!

Yah, that's right. We caught you in the act!!

Davey says, "hey grandma, you should try out these flying birds, they're super fun!!"

Elisabeth, who was all about the water as usual, made a break for the boats. Luckily Dad and Grandpa were more than willing to take her for a little boat tour.

Then it was back to the Pterodactyls.

"Can I take him home mamma? Please???"

More dino roars...
