Mum, Dad, I know you both worry about the kids and the gas fireplace. I've been looking out for a screen since...well since our first townhouse and I finally saw one and snapped it up. $39 at Superstore for anyone else looking for one. I like it because it's got very clean, modern lines so it blends in with the fireplace very nicely.
I started putting a few Christmassy things out yesterday. Davey put these clings on the windows. One thing I LOVE about living in Chilliwack...apparently you can get LIVE Christmas trees BEFORE December 1st! I'm so excited. The last few years I've called everywhere in Langley trying to get one earlier than that (though I suppose I didn't actually call Christmas tree farms...). Anyway, we've booked a date with our favorite Chilliwack family to go and pick our trees up together - MID NOVEMBER!!

great now i can sleep. somewhere i heard the majority of burns to baby's happen from gas fireplace's.
