What a full day!

This was taken two days ago. I had a really cute outfit on Elisabeth and wanted a picture. She didn't want to cooperate, but davey was in full out posing mode.

but here she is...
she's a bit of a poser herself ;)

Andy had today off to make up for being away for so long (or something). And the weather was gorgeous. So we headed out to Rosedale to take a stroll through Minter Gardens. I love how shell shocked Elisabeth looks...

And again. With it enough to have a fist ful of rocks, but not quite sure where she is, who that is staring at her or why we're making her sit on the bench...

(you may have noticed the pink pearls. She's quite the girlie girl. Can't go somewhere like Minter Gardens without the right accessories...)

Davey insisted on sitting in here...and that I took a picture of him doing so.

More fun with the outhouse. Notice Andrew taking pictures from the other side??

I had to get in on the action from that side too...

Doesn't he have the sweetest little face ever? Doesn't he look like he could never, ever do anything naughty? Don't be fooled...

He is my child after all...
And his mischievious little sister...also my child...

More rock gathering.

I wish I could have gotten the moment in between these two photos...when the water hit him in his eye and he was frantically trying to extricate his head from between the posts. Alas...

By this time it was about 1. Tink was starting to fade from hunger and exhaustion. Time to hit the Trillium/Envision cafe for lunch.

She loved having this pansy behind her ear. Took it out, looked at it and made me put it back.

I have a couple more pictures - just of the flowers and colours - over here.

Well, it was so gorgeous out we kept driving (okay, so I planned this wonderful, awesome day. But tomorrow it's back to rain. We had to make the most of this weather...)

Davey at Harrison. I think he was excited to get there.

And Libby with her bucket. Also excited.

It was so incredibly hot at Minter Gardens. Here it's always a little cooler right at the water. On the beach walk it was hot too, but I guess the breeze off the water makes a big difference.

The kids didn't seem to mind though.

As you can tell from my little water baby. She loves the water sooooo much.

She was pretty much drenched by the time we left. And had moved most of the driftwood that was in the lake out, and vice versa.

Andrew also commented that she seemed to be draining the lake what with all the buckets of water she carried out and emptied on the beach (and herself). What other possible explanation could there be for how his sand castle seemed to be getting further and further from the beach?

This absolutely perfect day was capped off with ice cream at the dairy on the edge of Rosedale/Chilliwack and a bbq on our patio. *sigh*
