Today we headed to Langley to celebrate El's birthday! When we got there, there were an awful lot of vehicles in the driveway, a backhoe and a Terasen truck among them. After we'd made it up the driveway and into the house, the backhoe accidentally dug up all the wires for utilities at mum's...and even went so far as to rip the hydro wires right out of the house! Here's some pictorial proof...


I forgot to call tonight to find out if they have their power back on. It was going to take a LONG time to get it all reconnected...

Thanks to everyone who gave me advice on my mantelpiece. Since yesterday I moved the red plant closer to the mirror, and grouped the one set of pictures in three. Mum's advice. I'll try and get a picture later...for now, the end :)
