The first half of spring break

So last week was spring break. On Tuesday we got up bright and early and headed to Richmond to pick up my dad from the airport. Elisabeth was very excited. See?!

My dad just got back from Costa Rica and is apparently finding it a little cold here in the Lower Mainland...and especially at my house.

The week passed in a blur or vegging, but on Thursday we had some friends over. This is Elisabeth's friend from preschool.

And his big sister, David's friend from Kindergarten.

Playing dress up...superheroes versus pirates?

That night the whole family came over for dinner.

And then some of us played ninja burger. It's been a few years since the last time we played and I'd forgotten how much fun it is!

Dad had no idea (supposedly) what he was doing, but he still managed to clean up in the game. This despite our best attempts to sabotage him!

And on Friday while waiting for Daddy to come home, the kids played hockey. Then, Auntie came over while we were playing and handed out cupcakes. Awright!

Said David, "Since we don't have a net, let's just use this box as a goal."

But luckily (since the box kept falling over), Uncle Cody took pity on us and let us use his net.
