Let's try to end on a high note, shall we?

For the last day of our staycation, we decided to head up Grouse Mountain and check out the Peak of Christmas.

There was a new (to us) feature this year - all kinds of activities with the elves! So of course we headed straight there.

Elisabeth decided she needed a nap in the gingerbread house.

And then we snapped a picture on the sleigh.

Next the kids made buttons.

And coloured colouring sheets.

And sprinkled magic.

And then we headed outside to take pictures in the snow!

Next it was time to skate on the outdoor pond.

These kids can skate just fine. But for some reason they like using the bars.

And finally, David decided he'd had enough.

We went over to meet the reindeer. Only they were too busy enjoying a balmy nap in the snow.

Then we went sliding.

And finally we went inside to check out the gingerbread displays.

They were amazing.

AND THEN THE SUN CAME OUT.

It was the perfect end to a perfect weekend.
